1. Where we deliver

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom and the European Union.

[[Complete: the countries you actually serve, and exclusions — islands, remote areas, low-emission and pedestrian zones. A short list you can honour beats a broad promise followed by cancellations.]]

Not sure about your address? Call us on +33 7 56 75 59 70 before ordering.

2. How long it takes

Destination Estimate
European Union 3–10 working days
United Kingdom around 15 working days, excluding customs clearance
Other non-EU around 15 working days, excluding customs clearance

Timescales run from your order confirmation and are shown on each product page.

Unless we agree a different date with you, we will deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed. If we miss a deadline that was essential to you, you can cancel and receive a full refund. Otherwise you may set a new reasonable deadline and cancel if we miss that too.

3. Cost

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your destination, the volume and the weight, and is shown in full before you pay.

[[Complete: free delivery thresholds and any zone pricing.]]

4. Customs and import charges

Orders crossing the UK–EU border may attract import VAT, customs duty and clearance fees in the destination country.

[[Decide and state clearly: are these included in the price you pay at checkout (DDP), or charged to you by the courier on delivery (DAP)? This must be disclosed before purchase. A customer who meets an unexpected customs bill at the door refuses the parcel — on furniture that is an expensive failure.]]

Customs clearance times are outside our control and are not included in the estimates above.

5. What happens

  1. You receive an order confirmation email straight away.
  2. We contact you by phone or WhatsApp to agree a date and time slot.
  3. The driver calls before arriving.
  4. We deliver to your door — the threshold of your property, or the building entrance where access does not allow more.

Not included in standard delivery: carrying to an upper floor, placing in a room, and removing packaging, unless the product page says otherwise.

Someone over 18 needs to be there at the agreed slot.

6. Assembly

Assembly is available in Paris and its immediate surroundings only. It is not available elsewhere in France, in the rest of the European Union, or in the United Kingdom.

[[Complete: included or charged, and the price.]]

Everywhere else, items arrive flat-packed with instructions and fittings.

7. Check access before you order

You are responsible for the access information you give us. Before ordering, check:

  • widths of doorways, hallways, stairwells and the lift;
  • which floor, and whether there is a lift;
  • parking for the delivery vehicle and any access restrictions;
  • entry code or intercom.

If a delivery fails because the information was wrong, or because nobody was there at the agreed slot, the cost of another attempt is yours.

8. When it arrives

Risk passes to you when you take physical possession (section 29, Consumer Rights Act 2015).

If anything is damaged or missing:

  1. Write a specific description of the damage on the delivery note. "Unchecked" or "subject to inspection" carries no weight.
  2. Photograph the item and its packaging.
  3. Contact us within 3 working days at connect@specialemeuble.com or on +33 7 56 75 59 70.

This helps us resolve things quickly. It does not limit your rights to cancel or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
